maine day 4

on day 4 of our wonderful vacation it a was really rainy! i didn't realize that it rained so much. so we didn't let the rain stop us and we went on a fairy ride to all the the islands that surround portland. it was so cool and i was so mad because the camera battery died right after we got on the boat to go.

this is the big ferry that we rode.

a picture from the pier. there are so many different ships, and cruise ships and sailboats, and tug boats that come in and out of here.

i just thought these two sailboats were really cool!

we stopped at several little ports and it was so fun to people watch. a lot of the little islands are only seasonal and completely shut down for the winter so people have to take the ferry back to portland and stock up on their groceries and other things. my other favorite thing to see besides all of the big gorgeous houses was all of the hundreds of lobster buoys floating in the water. it was so cool and each fisherman has his own area and tagged buoys. my handsome husband checkin out the beautiful view.
it was so slippery i was afraid jase was going to fall on his butt but he didn't.
because it was so rainy we spent a lot of the ride under where we wouldn't get wet.
